How to replace the nylon threaded end on Pro-Pole Extension Poles.
Take a drill to the two punctures or ‘dimples’ just below the threaded end. Those are holding the threaded end in place. Once you have drilled the two punctures out then you will use a pair of pliers to pull the old broken threaded end out of the extension pole slider. Once you have the threaded end in place, tap it into the aluminum tube and then install a screw to hold it in place.
If you are unable to remove threaded end on the pole by just drilling out the dimples, you can always cut the aluminum just underneath the two dimples to completely remove it. You would lose an inch of the extension pole, but then you would be able to replace the threaded end.
