Great.
Painted a living room, worked great despite having a knockdown textured wall and ceiling. Didn't have issues with the pad falling apart. Totally worth it.

Paint Around Edges Fast

Mr. LongArm’s Trim Smart Paint Edger tool attachment is the ideal solution for painting along ceilings, baseboards, and windows. The Trim Smart’s paint pad produces crisp lines and eliminates the need for painters to spend a lot of time carefully going along edges with a paint brush or roller. Additionally, the Trim Smart attaches to any extension pole and eliminates the need for ladders or step stools when cutting in.

Easy-to-Use and Clean

Trim Smart features horizontal and vertical guide wheels that allow it to move smoothly and with little extraneous effort along window edges, baseboards, and ceilings. Furthermore, the Trim Smart attaches to a universal threaded end and works perfectly with any of our paint extension poles. Lastly, the pad can be easily removed and cleaned after each use for easy storage and longer product lifespan.

Stay Safe and Forego the Ladder and Step-Stool

Ever since the beginning Mr. LongArm has made it our goal to make painting safer for both professionals and DIYers. The Trim Smart Paint Edger tool attachment when combined with an extension pole keeps painters from having to climb on ladders, ledges, foot stools and other precarious areas. With poles spanning from 2 ft. to 23 ft. there is an option for everyone to combine the Trim Smart with.

Paint Pad is Easily Replaced

The flocked pad on the Trim Smart Paint Edger can easily be switched out if need be. We make a replacement pad for the Trim Smart that can be found for purchase here.

    Works!
24′ ceiling in hall. Not gonna lie. It was brutal to put this on a 24′ pole! But it worked and this 63 year old did it herself in a day. Had to move pole down, get paint. For lower ceilings I just climbed on a platform ladder and held the handle. This is better than competitors because 1. It has a flexible handle which is crucial to painting high ceilings in order to adjust angles and 2. It attaches to poles 3. The pad is bigger than the competitors. It was also perfect for painting hard to reach parts of the ceiling above my kitchen cabinets. The long flexible handle makes this so versatile. I painted on top of it with a brush to keep paint off sides. Just ordered another one. Last one lasted for most of downstairs but I still have the master bath and upstairs. Fantastic tool!

    Amazing! Worked perfectly!!!
This is, hands down, some of the best money I’ve ever spent. We have a long extension pole that this twists into. You absolutely have to paint the paint onto the pad with a brush. Load it up really well so it glides nicely. After one swipe along the upper walls of our vaulted ceilings over the stairs, I was absolutely shocked how perfectly it worked. There is only a teeny tiny line left behind that isn’t painted, but I don’t notice because the ceiling is being left white. It looks so crisp and professionally painted! Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

Great for cutting in an extremely high ceiling!!
This is great for cutting in an extremely high ceiling in a staircase! I personally wouldn’t use it for cutting in an entire room, but worked great for cutting in a ceiling 40 feet above a staircase. You must use take your time and use great care with only getting paint on the pad and nowhere else, especially the rollers.

    Move slow with it .
You must have patience with this one But the patience worth the time and energy it would have taken getting up and down on the ladder. Do not use a lot of paint on sponge it will drip. Barely needed a second coat just in spots. Hard to find replacement sponge which I’m sad about this is a great product. Get it!

    Kept me off the ladder.
This little gadget really works! I read other reviews and did as others suggested. Add the paint with a brush. Don’t dip the edger into the paint. Also check each time to be sure the wheels are clean. Works beautifully.

    Worth the money.
My home has a high stairwell. I was having issues getting the ladder set right to cut in the ceiling so I ended up buying this edger. While it doesn’t get as close as a paint brush it did a good job. I would say that this product does what it’s designed to do. It honestly makes cutting door frames and baseboards a breeze. The reason I am giving 5 stars is bc it does t what it’s designed to do. It’s not 100% perfect but it speeds the job up considerably. I would say if you don’t go into the paint job with extremely high expectations then you will like this product. I would give it a 9/10.

I won’t paint any other way now!
I have tall ceilings which make it impossible to cut in. I have used other similar products but they all good up and transfer. This one is amazing! I painted my 1500sq ft upper level in a few days with this tool. I just ordered a new pad because my kids played with it and put it in the paint without telling me. I was glad that the pads are available. The only downside I found was that It takes some practice learning how much paint to apply to the pad without getting the paint on the wheels. If paint gets on the wheels it will transfer on the other wall. To avoid this, I use a paint brush to apply the paint to the pad. Great product and well with the price!

    Give great coverage.
I have a townhouse with a lot of vaulted ceilings. This definitely helps with edging at the top of the vaulted walls. It would work even better if I did not have popcorn ceilings in some of the rooms, so right at the very top, I had to have a professional go up there with a brush to finish. But for the edges that were not against the popcorn ceilings, this gave awesome coverage, much better than a roller, and allows you to do a lot of painting before it wears out (which you will know has happened when it starts peeling away from the backing). I definitely recommend it.

Highly recommended but read reviews first.
I never leave photo reviews but these pads have been life savers in cutting in for first time DIY painters. I highly recommend them as long as you use a paint brush to apply the color onto the pads, as others have also suggested. Also don’t press them down to the wall and keep the top edge paint free to not go up on the ceiling. I highly recommend these.

    Solved a major problem!
Had to fix my paint job way up at the top of a 2-story atrium, as well as along the ceiling trim at the top of a stairwell. I found a long retracting-pole light bulb remover/apple picker that was in the garage from 15 years ago. Fixed it easily to the handle of the device. Did a couple of practice exercises to make sure I could reach the corners, and paint around the trim of a curved Palladian window without slipping and putting paint on the window. Painted the paint onto the pad, and just did the job. Not a drop spilled! No drips. Worked very well, and I have washed out the pad to re-use. I had agonized for YEARS how to do this job. Thanks!!!
